Policy on promoting/demoting members

Promoting/demoting members:

  • For permanent moderators, promoting: If users are active in the chat, which is defined as engaging with users in main chat and following rules for at least 1-2 weeks as outlined in the ranks guide, you may promote them to member. Alternatively, you can wait for the main owner to promote users to member.
  • For permanent moderators, demoting: If users who are regular member, NOT trusted + listed on staff list, break rules and get banned by the bot, you may demote them to guest if you wish. If you notice they are a repeat offender who constantly gets kicked/banned by either the bot or other staff members, a more immediate demotion is necessary. The reason for this being is that potentially some bad users who are members can kick gamebanned users with power SUPERKICK.
  • TEMPORARY MODERATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PROMOTE / DEMOTE MEMBERS!
  • For owners, promoting: If users are active in the chat, which is defined as engaging with users in main chat and following rules for at least 1-2 weeks as outlined in the ranks guide, you may promote them to member. If you notice they are following these requirements before they have been active for at least 1-2 weeks, you may use power TEMPMEM, or bot command !temp mem, to make them temporary member. Alternatively, you can wait for the main owner to promote users to member.
  • For owners, demoting: If users who are regular member, NOT trusted + listed on staff list, break rules and get banned by the bot, you may demote them to guest if you wish. If you notice they are a repeat offender who constantly gets kicked/banned by either the bot or other staff members, a more immediate demotion is necessary. The reason for this being is that potentially some bad users who are members can kick gamebanned users with power SUPERKICK.
    • Trusted Members: If Trusted Members listed on staff list get rightfully banned by the bot for breaking rules, or if they are rightfully banned by another staff member, remove them from the autotemp list and notify the main owner ASAP with proofs. This can include the bot’s modproof logs, and ban reasons issued. Removing them from the autotemp list on bot will demote them to a regular member. Only demote them to guest if they are a repeat offender as outlined in the previous point.
